In line with the flagship programme of increasing local productions, the Agency for Promotion of Indigenous Crafts (APIC) organised a training programme on miniaturization and innovative cane and bamboo products at Panbang bamboo centre.
Skilled artisans from Bjoka and Ngangla Gewogs attended the 15-day training to innovate and diversify cane and bamboo products to suit the growing market trends. The programme also aims to elevate the rural economy and create youth employment.
Meanwhile, the APIC would create connectivities in the craft market in Thimphu and suitable outlets wherever possible.
Such similar programmes will also be conducted time and again in other crafts skills in different places.
The training ended today in Panbang
