The tenth session of the third Parliament will commence on Sunday. The two-week-long session will discuss the Property Tax (Amendment) Bill, the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Annual Report 2022-2023, the public accounts committee’s review report, and the Prime Minister’s State of the Nation Report among others.
The National Council will discuss on Property Tax (Amendment) Bill, Biological Corridor Nine Bill, BIMSTEC Charter, Agreement on the Movement of Traffic-in-Transit between the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Royal Government of Bhutan, Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Annual Report 2022-2023.
“The Biological Corridor Nine Bill has been forwarded to the National Council. For more than two months, we did the consultation and visited the sites,” said Ugyen Tshering, Chairperson of the Natural Resources and Environment Committee.
The National Assembly will deliberate on the Property Tax (Amendment) Bill and other follow-up reports.
The Joint Sitting of the Parliament will discuss the Public Accounts Committee’s review report on the Performance Audit Reports of Irrigation Systems and Preparedness for Cybersecurity, and the Prime Minister’s annual report on the State of the Nation.
The Parliament will end on the 16th of October.
