Tempa Dorji, 45, who has served in Bhutan Power Corporation for 21 years, secured 3193 votes including 581 postal ballot from Lhuentse. He was nominated from Jarey Gewog.
The former NC MP, Rinzin Rinzin obtained 2122 votes including 531 postal ballot.
Tempa Dorji had said he would seek balanced economic development for Lhuentse. He also had said he would review public policies, legislations and scrutinize all state affairs.
Tempa Dorji served as the Manager of the Electricity Services Division in Thimphu. He has a Masters Degree in power engineering from Norway.
