The Tourism Council of Bhutan is planning to promote the country under a new banner. It is expected to be launched on Thursday, a day ahead of the border reopening.
On the same day, the TCB will also be launching its new immigration system. All these are part of the tourism sector revamp which the council says is being done with a renewed focus. And the focus is mainly on three areas-infrastructure and services, travel experiences of tourists and the sector’s environmental impact.
The tourism council has also prepared a new set of tourism rules and regulations which is currently being reviewed by the Cabinet.
And all these changes, according to the TCB, are to revert the country’s tourism strategy to the “High Value, Low Volume” policy.
