A special prayer ceremony began at the Shivalaya temple in Samtse as part of the 111th National Day celebrations.
Pandits from across the country are conducting the prayer ceremony for a successful National Day celebration on December 17.
The three-day prayer ceremony for Lord Shiva began from today. It is organised by Hindu Dharma Samudaya of Bhutan in collaboration with the Mandir Committee of Samtse.
“We the Hindu community of the Southern Districts remain grateful to His Majesty for gifting us the temples in Samtse and Gelegphu. And we are excited that we will get to celebrate the Grand National Day celebrations with His Majesty and members of The Royal Family,” Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, the President of Pandit Committee, said.
