Bhutan’s Senior National Cricket team will leave the country tomorrow to participate in the ICC World Cricket League Division Eight at Samoa Island, in the South Pacific Ocean. The team consists of 14 players and two officials.
Before the tournament at Samoa Island, the team will be trained by Sri Lankan Coach at Sri Lanka and play practice matches for fourteen days funded by Asian Cricket Council.
The National Coach, Damber S. Gurung, said the team this year consists of players from senior and junior teams. They were selected as per their previous performance.
A total of eight teams will take part in the tournament. Bhutan is in group B along with Japan, Suriname and Belgium.
The tournament will begin from September 13.
