Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay graced the opening of the 8th batch of Scout Leadership Training Programme in Tencholing in Wangdue Phodrang today.
Some 125 class twelve students are undergoing the leadership training.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minster congratulated the scouts in their endeavors and said the scouts, so far, have been active in serving the country with dedication.
For the next three weeks they will undergo extensive training on life skills and disaster management. Including the present batch, about 966 students will complete the leadership training so far.
Currently, there are 36,000 scouts in Bhutan. The programme first began in 2013.
