The government will receive an additional 450 million INR for the power exported to India from Chhukha Hydropower Project. The additional amount comes as a result of the recent power tariff revision. The rate was revised to Nu.2.25 per unit from Nu.2.
The economic affairs minister, Norbu Wangchuk, said Bhutan will henceforth continue to receive 450 million INR on top of 3.6 billion until the next tariff revision.

The power tariff revision comes after nine years. The next one will be finalised in 2016.
