The prime minister inaugurated the newly built Shivalaya Mandhir in Sarpang today. The temple is a gift from His Majetsy The King to the Hindu community in Sarpang.
It is a replica of the Shivalaya Mandhir in Samtse.
The mandhir is located in Shetikhari, which is almost four kilometres away from Gelegphu town, on the Gelegphu-Zhemgang highway.
The construction of the temple began in July 2016 and was completed in May this year.
It was built at a cost of Nu 44 m. The funds were provided by the government.
