Phuentshogling Dungkhag Court is conducting hearings of more than 30 fronting cases.
The court conducted hearings of about seven cases, yesterday.
However, in absence of litigants, some cases are getting deferred. The court says they will not conduct hearings without the presence of litigants.
Also, some foreigners involved could not be summoned and some did not turn up even after they were informed.
The court says they do not have authority to send an order beyond the court’s Jurisdiction.
Instead, the court has asked the Office of Attorney General (OAG) to find ways to bring them in the court.
OAG, on the other hand, has asked the court to conduct trial in absentia as some of the litigants are likely to have been absconded.
BBS could not get in touch with the OAG officials for a comment.
