A man on the run, after aiding his wife steal valuable antiques in Phuentsholing, was arrested earlier this week. The 28-year-old man was arrested from Lobesa.
Both husband and wife are currently under detention in Phuentsholing.
Earlier in July this year, a burglary case was registered in Phuentsholing police station. The complainant had suspected her step-daughter’s involvement in the burglary. Her suspicion came true when her 19-year old step-daughter confessed to the crime and said her husband had helped her steal the valuable antiques.
Police recovered a cat’s eye along and some gold from the husband. Most of the stolen items are yet to be recovered.
Police are still are on the lookout for two more men involved in the case
