Of the 439 confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in the country, 61 per cent was detected in Bhutanese. The non-Bhutanese constituted only 39 per cent of the positive cases.
From the total positive cases reported so far, 269 were detected in Bhutanese including overseas returnees and loaders at the mini dry port in Phuentshogling.
The remaining 170 cases were detected in non-Bhutanese. 59 cases were detected in ex-pats who entered the country to work at the hydropower plants and in the construction sector.
The latest positive case was detected in a 27-year-old ex-pat taking the total active cases to 31.
Meanwhile, four individuals were declared recovered, taking the total recovered cases to 408.
