His Majesty the King granted Kasho to Yeshey Dorji, appointing him as the Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His Majesty granted a white scarf without fringes and a patang to the new foreign secretary as ex-officio symbols of office.
Foreign Secretary, Yeshey Dorji, was the Permanent Representative to the UN Mission in Geneva before this appointment.
According to the Article 2.19(c) of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan, the Druk Gyalpo shall, by warrant under his Hand and seal, appoint the secretaries to the government on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
