The Elected Members of Parliament of the National Assembly received their certificates of election, today. The certificate awarding ceremony was held at the Election Commission of Bhutan.
The certificates were awarded by the Chief Election Commissioner, Dasho Kunzang Wangdi, to the 32 Member of Parliament-elects from the Peoples Democratic Party.
PDP’s Jigme Zangpo, the MP-elect from Monggar could not make it due to poor road conditions.
The elected members of parliament from Druk Phuensum Tshogpa had sent a representative who received the certificates on behalf of DPT’s MPs-elect. He said the DPT MP-elects could not make it to the ceremony because the ongoing DPT’s convention.
