Three Memorandum of Understanding were signed between Bhutan and Indian Institutions in presence of Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, today.
One of the MoU is to strengthen the intellectual growth of faculty and students by sharing academic resources and learning opportunities. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) and the English and Foreign Languages University in Hyderabad, India.
The English and Foreign Languages University will be providing training and consultative services for the establishment of centre for English Language Training at the RUB.
Another MoU was also signed between Royal University of Bhutan and the National Innovation Foundation, India. The understanding is to provide establishment of innovation cooperation between the two organisations.
The third Memorandum of understanding was signed between Royal Civil Service Commission and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad (IMMA). Under the agreement, the two institutions will share resources and expertise to develop specific programmes to create leadership potential.
The IMMA will also provide trainings for Bhutanese officials in various executive programmes throughout the year.
