More than a year ago, over a 100,000 tourists from India visited Bhutan. Of the total more than 60,000 tourists were from West Bengal. “It is a matter of great urgency for the government to see how to provide high value of tourism experience to regional tourists from West Bengal and India,” said the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay.

Especially after Narendra Modi’s visit, many tourists visited Bhutan and now after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s visit I can see many more tourists visiting Bhutan.”
