A large percentage of the Bhutanese population is young people. According to the population and housing census 2017, half of the Bhutanese population is below 26 years. They are often unemployed or underemployed, despite the need for a labour force in agriculture. But the pandemic opened up opportunities in agriculture. After all, being a farmer is not at all bad.
