His Majesty The King granted an audience to the participants of the inaugural Foundational Leadership Programme (FLP), at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGSS) in Phuentshogling yesterday.
FLP is RIGSS’s new programme, intended for entry-level professionals. The main objective of the programme is to provide professional orientation and grooming, skills development and attitudinal transformation for the very young professionals towards becoming great future leaders.
During the four-week course, the participants spent three weeks at the institute on modules designed to promote a better understanding and appreciation of issues related to our country, and learnt foundational leadership skills and related tools for public service.
A week-long Immersion Programme, where participants spent a week in a village in Chhukha, was also part of the programme.
During the Royal Visit to Phuentshogling, His Majesty visited the site for the mini dry port and the second entry gate to Phuentshogling from Jaigaon in India. His Majesty also visited the National Housing Development Colony.
