Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck graced the prize and certificate award ceremony for a design competition titled ‘From Pixel to Fabrics: Digital Design in Traditional Weaving’, today. The competition, held for the first time in the country, invited digital designers and weavers to submit their digital designs, prototypes, and ideas on how to improve the working conditions of the weavers in the country. The top three submissions were given cash prizes and certificates.

The contest had more than 100 registered participants and over 30 submissions. The competition was organised by the Royal Textile Academy in collaboration with the World Bank Office in Bhutan.
