The government is in talks to purchase three private schools that are on sale to be used as regular hospitals and educational institutions. Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering at the Meet the Press said the acquisition is not yet confirmed. The schools include Kelki High School in Kanglung under Trashigang district, Nima High School in Thimphu and a private institute at Phaduna in Punakha. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said the national COVID-19 hospital at Taba will be established as a 60 to 65 bedded multidisciplinary hospital.
