Five-foot-tall Kudung Chorten consecrated

Kudung-Chorten--kENCHOGSUN-lHAKHANGCoinciding with the third death anniversary of the His Eminence Thuksey Rinpochhe, Kenchogsum Lhakhang in Bumthang, consecrated a five-foot tall gold plated Kudung Chorten yesterday.

The consecration ceremony was presided over by His Eminence Sungtruel Rinpochhe.

The Kudung Chorten was built as a gesture of respect to His eminence. It will be installed inside Kenchogsum Lhakhang once the Lhakhang reconstruction is completed.

Over Nu.1.5 million was spent on the construction of the Kudung Chorten. The funds were provided by well-wishers, friends and family of late Thuksey Rinpochoe.
