World football’s greatest prize will spread happiness in Bhutan when the FIFA World Cup Trophy will arrive here the capital, tomorrow.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour is touring around the world in anticipation of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The Coca-Cola Company, in partnership with FIFA and Bhutan Football Federation, is bringing the Trophy to Bhutan. This will be the first that the authentic, solid gold trophy will arrive in Bhutan.
The 2013-2014 Trophy Tour will visit 88 countries during its 267day duration, before returning to Brazil, where the FIFA World Cup 2014 will take place.
The trophy measures 36.8 centimetres high, and weighs 6,175 grams. It is made of solid 18 carat gold.
The trophy will be display for a day at Changlimithang football stadium for the public for free.
The Trophy is currently in Bangladesh.
