A Drukair flight to Mumbai from Paro had to make an unexpected landing at the NSC Bose international Airport in Kolkata due to a technical setback. Drukair official said the plane had to make an emergency landing after the windshield of the plane had cracked.
The official added the windshield is of “fail safe design” meaning the crack would not compromise the safety of the plane. The plane, however, had to make a precautionary landing.
Another plane carrying engineers and spare parts were sent immediately from Paro to fix the problem.
All 68 passengers are said to be safe and are expected to be flown out by tomorrow.
