The Druk Phuensum Tshogpa has unveiled two more candidates for the upcoming National Assembly elections. The two candidates will represent the party from Bongo-Chapcha and Phuentshogling constituencies in Chhukha. The candidates were declared in the capital and in Phuentshogling today.
37-year-old, Sonam Pelden will contest from the Bongo_Chapcha constituency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Bangalore University in India. Before joining politics, Sonam was a reporter with the Business Bhutan newspaper for three years.
And Natra Ghalley will represent the party from the Phuentshogling constituency. The 32-year-old has a civil engineering degree from the Subharti University in Uttar Pradesh, India. Prior to joining the party, he worked on various projects as a civil engineer in the private sector.
The Druk Phuensum Tshogpa has declared 33 candidates so far.
