The Dzongkha Development Commission (DDC) today launched the second edition of Dzongkha-English pocket Dictionary. The dictionary is a revised version of the first edition printed in 2002.
With about 36,600 word entries, the dictionary comprises of word classes, verb forms, honorific, synonyms and antonyms and popular terms used in the constitution and acts.
Along with the Pocket Dictionary, the Commission also launched electronic Dzongkha-English and Dzongkha grammar book. DDC says the book is designed to suit modern grammar writing system and provides more examples to make it user friendly.
