Drukair’s aircraft, which was damaged by hailstones over a week ago in Guwahati, India will be taken to Singapore for repair next month. Durkair’s Chief Executive Officer, Tandi Wangchuk said the plane will be back in the country by June.
Some more parts of the aircraft like air navigation lights and elevators were damaged. Currently the aircraft is in Guwahati and had its windshield and radome replaced.
Tandi Wangchuk also said the plane was due for 12-year check. “In aviation, after every six years there have to be a major check of aircraft which normally takes a month.”
