The government is skeptical of completing construction of four industrial estates within the 11th Five Year Plan.
During the press conference yesterday, the finance minister, Namgay Dorji said it is not certain how long it will take to complete, although preparation works are in full swing. “We will not be able to commit that we will be able to complete within the planned period.”
He said they are confronted with challenges such as geographical locations, among others.
The four industrial estates are Damdum in Samtse, Jigmeling in Gelegphu, Motanga in Samdrup Jongkhar and Bondeyma in Monggar.
Lyonpo Namgay Dorji said since the industrial estates are important the government has garnered funds and have started works in all the estates.
