Bhutan’s under-16 cricket team defeated China by 73 runs in the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Eastern Region Cup played at Chiang Mai in Thailand.
This is Bhutan’s first win in the tournament. Batting first, Bhutan managed to score 153 in their allotted 35 overs losing just nine wickets in the process.
In reply, the Chinese under-16 team was bowled out for a paltry 80 runs.
The Bhutanese team now needs to win their final group match against Hong Kong, on Wednesday, to stand a chance to reach the semifinals.
