Bhutan will go to polls to elect the grassroots leaders, tomorrow. A total of 616 Gup candidates and 654 Mangmi candidates will be contesting in the second Local Government Elections.
The voting will begin at 9 in the morning till 5 in the evening.
The Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) said more than 1,000 Common Forums were conducted between September 5-21.
More than 39,000 people participated in the Common Forums.
Tomorrow has been declared as public holiday in the country except for Thimphu, Gelegphu and Phuentshogling thromdes.
However, ECB officials said voters of the three thromdes will be allowed leave to cast their votes.
