Bhutan has slipped one place to occupy 18th in terms of generosity in this year’s World Giving Index rankings.
The country continues to slump in the rankings since it secured the top 20 spot, two years ago.
According to the research, 56 percent of the people in Bhutan had donated money in the past year, 52 percent said they had helped a stranger, and 39 percent claimed they had volunteered.
Bhutan grabbed 11th spot in 2014, the highest ranking achieved by the country.
The index is a global poll surveyed from an average of 1,000 people in 140 countries.
