Bhutan is hosting the 13th SAARC Trade Fair in Thimphu, this year. Over 177 companies from Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, and Nepal are participating in the trade fair.
Bhutan hosted its first SAARC trade fair in 2009.
The fair is to promote regional trade for creating business and enhance a good relationship among the SAARC members.
A wide range of merchandise such machineries, statues, gems and jewelleries are exhibited during the five-day fair which began yesterday.
The annual event is organised by SAARC member countries on a rotational basis.
Economic affairs minister, Lekey Dorji inaugurated the fair.
