The Royal Bhutan Helicopter Services Limited is undertaking its first ever operation of lifting works for Bhutan Power Corporation contractors.
The Chief Executive Officer of Royal Bhutan Helicopter Services, Chewang Gyeltshen said the works started since May 21, 2016.
They are lifting electrification equipment from Shana, Paro to Jangothang and other places under Lingzhi Gewog in Thimphu.
Chewang Gyeltshen said in two days, they completed airlifting 7,000 kilograms of electrical poles and other electrical equipment.
In next couple of weeks it is expected to airlift about 150,000 kilograms of rural electrification equipment as part of the Bhutan Power Corporations’ project for rural electrification.
