The Bhutan Cricket Council Board has been awarded the 100 percent Cricket Female Participation Award of the year for the Asia region.
This was announced, today, as part of the International Cricket Council’s Development Awards for 2019. The award recognises Bhutan Cricket’s efforts for involving close to 20,000 females across all levels, last year.
According to the Cricket Board, almost eight percent of the country’s female population aged five to 39 plays cricket.
