Bhutan and China discussed a roadmap to expedite the Bhutan-China Boundary Talks during the 10th Expert Group Meeting on Bhutan-China Boundary held in Kunming, China from April 6-9.
A joint press release by the foreign ministry of the two countries states that the two sides agreed to continue to maintain peace and tranquillity along the border areas. The two sides also agreed to hold the 25th Round of Bhutan-China Boundary Talks and the 11th Expert Group Meeting as soon as possible at mutually convenient dates.
In a show of goodwill and friendship, the Chinese government also donated personal protective equipment and medical supplies to support Bhutan’s fight against COVID-19.
Bhutan and China began the Boundary Talks in 1984.
