Commemorating the Birthday of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, The Bhutan Education and Technology Academy (BETA) Park marketing communications (Marcomm) launched the BETA day yesterday. The event is marked to raise awareness regarding the new technical, vocational and higher education opportunities to more than 400 students.
The BETA Park is designed as a self-sustaining ecosystem that will cater to training, learning and development for tertiary education. Next Year, Bhutan will have its first technology-based learning and development campus at Chamjeykha under Kawang Gewog in Thimphu. With the establishment, BETA Park will emphasize in creating an inclusive world-class technology, enabled education and innovative ecosystem.
‘’The whole idea is to resolve or contribute to resolving the gap between graduates who come out to the market, and the industries demands that are there in the market and I think we had this perennial problem where the graduates who come out from the institute are not ready for the market,” said Kezang, the Project Director of BETA Park.
BETA ensures to provide holistic education in the country through the technology-based learning process with courses including business management, start-up and entrepreneurship, computer science and IT.
