As a gesture of love for His Majesty the King and to strengthen Bhutan-Thailand relationship, two doctors of Bangkok Heart Hospital provided free check-ups to the children diagnosed with heart problems at the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu on Tuesday.
According to the Assistant Director of the hospital, Dr. Chanrit Lawthaweesawat, the hospital carried out such project because of His Majesty’s close relationship with their King. “Thai people love your King and Thailand and Bhutan share a close relation,” he added.

The check-up services would be followed by the further referral opportunity to Bangkok Heart Hospital. “We will offer three heart patients. Today the Pediatric Surgeon will examine the patients to make sure that he is fit to come to Bangkok to have a heart surgery and to come back to your country.”
The Assistant Director said the Bangkok Heart Hospital will be bearing an expense of close to 30,000 US dollars per person, including all the travel expenses.
He said the free medical check-up is also in line with the Corporate Social Responsibility of Bangkok Heart Hospital.
