The Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay said the Royal Bhutan Police is still investigating the death of a Bhutanese man in Bangkok.
“It is inaccurate to say the government hasn’t made a statement on this. You are correct in saying that it is a sensitive matter, sensitive for several reasons. But more importantly, it is an important matter also. As of now, the Royal Bhutan Police is investigating the case and we are not going to talk about details of the case.”
The body of a 46-year-old man, which was stuffed in a bag, was fished out from a canal in Bangkok, in the first week of this month. Parents of the deceased are still waiting for the government’s directive to retrieve the body.
