Some of the aspiring entrepreneurs in Lhuentse are frustrated with the criteria required for setting up entertainment centres. While people are ready to invests, Dzongkhag says they do not meet the required criteria.
One of the affected business aspirants is Deki Yangzom. She bought a snooker board three months back, hoping to open a snooker house is Lhuentse. After paying over Nu.170,000, the snooker board is now lying idle.
There are few others sharing the same story.

While the dzongkhag has made it mandatory to set up such entertainment ventures in concrete buildings, the people say, there are no empty spaces available in the locality.
According to Lhuentse Dzongda, Sonam Wangyel, this is for the safety of the general public. And the criteria for entertainment ventures are set up by the Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority (BICMA).
On the other hand, some of the residents say, the Dzongkhag is not supportive.
There are only five buildings in Lhuentse, and all of them are occupied.
