Kinley Drukpa, 20, from Lunana who was hit by an arrow from a compound bow yesterday was air lifted by a helicopter to Thimphu this morning. Doctors at the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital said the surgery went well and he is stable now.
Kinley Drukpa was playing a game of archery yesterday when he was hit on his left shoulder blade. The arrow pierced about 11 centimetres deep.
The health officials in Lunana called the ministry and informed that Kinley would have to be brought to Thimphu for treatment. But, there was no way he could be brought to Thimphu hospital without the chopper lift.
