The annual Durga Puja is underway in Thimphu. The members of the Interim Government and other officials attended the second last day of the puja today.
Durga Puja, also called Durgotsava, is an annual Hindu festival that reveres the goddess Durga.
The nine-day ceremony symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
The puja is conducted every year by the Durga Puja Organising Committee for the good health and wellbeing of His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen and His Royal Highness The Gyalsey.
It is also for the peace and prosperity in the country.
