The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil, and the Ambassador of the European Union presented their credentials to His Majesty the King today.
They were ushered into the throne room in a traditional chipdrel ceremony.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is Dr. Nanguyalia Tarzi. He has Doctorate in International Law. He also served as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the United Nations office and Ambassador
The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Carlos Sergio Sobral Duarte has Major in Economics from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. He was promoted to the rank of Minister in 2010. He also served as the Minister-Counsellor for the Mission of Brazil to the UN, New York. He was also served as the Minister in the Brazilian Foreign Service.
The ambassador of the European Union, Joao Gomes Cravinho served as a Research Associate at the Institute of International and Strategic Studies in Lisbon. He worked as a consultant for a Foundation on restructuring and implementing the Foundation’s development assistance programme. He was also the chair of the inter-ministerial committee created for the purpose of designing Portuguese development assistance to East Timor in 1999.
Following the credentials ceremony, His Majesty the King granted audience to the delegations.
Meanwhile, the Ambassadors also called on the Minister In-charge of the Prime Minister’s Office, Lyonpo Yeshey Zimba.
