A 25-year-old man arrested in a burglary case, Wangdue Phodrang

Wangdue Phodrang police arrested a 25-year-old man from Ruebisa Gewog on Tuesday in a burglary case. Police also recovered the stolen properties from the suspect. According to the police, the suspect had allegedly stolen clothes, ornaments and religious items.

As per police, the suspect broke into one of the houses in Ruebisa Gewog through windows while the house owner was busy with some household works outside on the 1st February.

However, police say the burglary cases in Wangdue Phodrang is decreasing compared to earlier years. But police still urge the general public to be wary of suspicious people who might end up victimising the public in the end.

Burglary is a fourth-degree felony, which has a prison term of three to five years as per the Penal Code of Bhutan.
