Bhutan and the Republic of Tajikistan, have established diplomatic relations. The Joint Communiqué was signed between the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bhutan to the United Nations, Lhatu Wangchuk, and the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Sirodjidin M. Aslov.
