Tshimasham Police-Woman detained after her boyfriend was found deadTshimasham Police in Chhukha have detained a 37-year-old woman from Gaeddu after her boyfriend was found dead. The body of the 49-year-old man was recovered from the steps of a power colony building in Tshimalakha.

The man, from Bongo, was first discovered by a security guard at 6.30 AM. He had informed the police immediately.

Upon investigation, police found out that the man had visited the woman the previous night. They also recovered the deceased’s bag and belt from the woman’s apartment.

According to the woman’s statement to the police, the man had died in his sleep. “I panicked and removed the body from my apartment.”

The police say there were no signs indicating that the man was murdered. But they have sent samples for testing to see if he was poisoned.

The woman will most probably be charged with tampering with the dead body, which is a petty misdemeanor.

She will have to remain in custody until investigations are complete.
