Tingtibi-FuelDepotWith population and number of cars increasing in Tingtibi, Zhemgang, locals say they need a fuel depot and a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supplier in the town.

Our Zhemgang reporter, Pema Samdrup, says that the motorists drive to Zhemgang town, 35 kilometres away, just to fuel their cars. The residents too have to go all the way to Zhemgang town to get filled LPG cylinders.

A local businessman, Thinley Wangdi, said having a fuel depot would benefit not just the people of Tingtibi but also travellers from Trongsa, Gelegphu, Gelegphu and Panbang.

There is a good news though. A land for a fuel depot has already been identified. Gewog officials said even the feasibility study is complete. However, it’s still unclear how soon the fuel depot would be established.
