DPT reveals three more candidates

The Druk Phuensum Tshogpa has declared three more candidates. The candidates will represent constituencies in Paro, Punakha and Trashigang. The candidates were revealed today in the capital. The party has declared 23 candidates so far.

Zecko is the party’s candidate for the Dogar-Shaba constituency in Paro. The 54-year-old holds a Master’s in Information Technology from King Mongkut University of Information Technology in Thailand. He worked in the civil service as the chief trade officer with the erstwhile Ministry of Economic Affairs.

 

 

 

 

 

And 51-year-old Tenzin Tshewang will represent the Limbukha-Toedwang constituency in Punakha. He has a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and a Diploma in Animal Husbandry from the College of Natural Resources. Before joining the party, he worked in the private sector for nine years. Before that, he also served in the civil service and the local government in various capacities.

 

 

 

 

59-year-old  Karma Chhophel is the party’s candidate from the Kanglung-Samkhar-Udzorong constituency in Trashigang. He studied Master of Science in Engineering at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, USA. Prior to joining the party, he served as the National technical expert for a UN-funded project on climate change adaptation.
