Bhutanese in Australia donates over Nu 4.7 M to His Majesty’s Kidu fund for COVID-19

The Bhutanese communities living in Australia contributes AUD 111,567.86 (over USD 62,200 amounting to over Nu 4.7 M) to His Majesty’s Kidu fund for COVID-19, according to a press release.

The fundraising drive was initiated in the last two weeks. The contribution from six various Bhutanese associations in Australia are:

  1. Adelaide Group: AUD155
  2. Australia Bhutanese Association of Canberra: AUD 21022.37
  3. Association of the Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated: AUD 78760.49
  4. Brisbane Bhutanese Association Incorporated: AUD 7032
  5. Druk Melbourne Association Incorporated: AUD 3803
  6. Sydney Bhutanese community: AUD 795
