To keep the momentum of the Snowman Race alive, and to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the Royal Wedding, the Snowman Race announced a 40km virtual run during the Athletes Roundtable event on Tuesday.
The non-competitive virtual run is a way for people to participate in the Snowman Race. According to the Snowman Race secretariat, people across the world at their convenience can run or walk in the respective locations and upload their record of the run. The race will continue till the 11th of November this year.
The Snowman Race in collaboration with Yellow Bhutan had also organised a 9km run challenge on Tuesday and 300-km challenge to run this month.
Snowman Race which was supposed to start on Tuesday was postponed by a year due to the pandemic.
The race for climate change starts from Gasa and ends in Bumthang. 25 participants from across the world are supposed to cover more than 300km within five days.
