The Government to Citizen Services (G2C Services) will now be operated directly by the Prime Minister’s Office. This is mainly to make G2C services efficient and accountable.
G2C services were previously looked after by the Department of Information Technology and Telecom under the Ministry of Information and Communications.
A two-day workshop on managing Government to Citizen Interface and performance management system was held in the capital.
G2C and government performance management team from the cabinet and G2C focal persons from relevant stakeholders were familiarised on world’s best practices of G2C services.
G2C services were initiated by the government a few years ago. Its prime objective was to simplify and enhance delivery of public services.
Security clearance certificate to be obtained online and likewise obtaining the forestry clearance and trade license are some of the operational G2C services in Bhutan.
