Homestays in Sagteng expecting more visitors

The number of homestays in Sagteng Gewog of Trashigang is on a rise. From only one in 2013, today there are around 17 homestays in Sagteng. And the gewog connected with a road this year, locals are expecting an increasing number of visitors.

Bhutan’s GDP projected at 7.2% for 2020

Despite increasing external debt, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its economic outlook has projected Bhutan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2020 at 7.2 per cent. Although external debt stands at 114 per cent of the GDP, the IMF says the country’s risk of debt distress is moderate.
